Ice Cream for Breakfast

cookiesandcreamresize.jpgWe just arrived home from a five week long visit with my parents in California. Upon arrival back at home, the house was clean (considering it’s on the market) but the cupboards were bare of the normal everyday commodities. It is now time to despoil the children of the Froot Loops and Sugar Pops that Nana insisted on purchasing and the made-to-order pancake breafasts cooked by Papa. So what’s for breakfast? Hmm…no milk, the kids won’t eat oatmeal. I know! Ice cream anyone? Yeah!!! Cookies and cream or vanilla?

Ok, and dinner? Well, I managed to throw together a conglomeration of minute brown rice, canned sliced carrots, canned lima beans, canned stewed tomatoes and seasoned it with a litte lemon pepper. It was edible and nourishing. No rave reviews from dear husband.
