Yo Quiero Taco Bell

tacobelldogresize.jpgWe had a showing on the house tonight so we got to go out to eat. Where can you feed a family of seven for under $20? Kids eat free at Quiznos on Thursdays! But we walked in and the placed smelled like turpentine from a remodel next door so we quickly walked out because it was enough to make a pregnant women heave and we drove on to Taco Bell. One Mexican Pizza, one #1 combo (burrito supreme, soft taco, and a drink), one crunchy taco, two soft tacos, one nachos and a side of shredded cheese all for $11.80. Perhaps pushing it on the ethics by sharing one large drink and refilling it four times, but I recall several times when they’ve forgotten to put a taco in my drive thru order so we’ll call it even.

Next we went to the grocery store to stock up on some basics. We spent about $75. Not bad considering I normally spend between $100-$130. We bought 2 gallons of milk, bread, yogurt, generic honey nut toasted oats, blueberries (on sale for $1.50/pint), american cheese, oranges, green pepper, bag of spinach, bananas, and since the kids were so good at cleaning the house for our showing we treated them to a bag of Krispy Kreme donuts, popsicles and I picked out a tub of Chocolate Trinity ice cream.
