Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast
Breakfast: Cereal and Milk
Lunch: Eggs, grits, toast
Dinner: Pancakes with blueberries and whip cream
I didn’t realize it until just now, but I guess we ate breakfast three times today. But it was good! I was planning to make ABC soup mix for dinner but it needs to simmer for 90 minutes and I didn’t start it until 7:00pm. It will be tomorrow’s dinner. So I saw a box of Bisquick in my cupboard and thought it was taking up too much room and decided on pancakes. A winner for all members of the family. I got out my never-been-used 21 inch griddle that we received as a wedding gift seven years ago and made two dozen pancakes. The girls were amused with my addition of whip cream and decided to have some as well. However, Emily’s attempt of squirting whip cream out of the aerosol can produced very narrow long streams of whip cream and Sarah cleverly named her meal “Pansnakes.” It was an awfully short stack for a tall pregnant appetite, but I survived and thrived on the sugar high.
Church was wonderful today. The woman who spoke in Sacrament meeting talked about how she motivated the families in a small branch in which she served to work on gathering their food storage. She said by the time they moved out of the branch most families had at least half their food storage. I had to give her two thumbs up for that accomplishment.
